The 'Dheki-Type-Loan' credit program was specifically designed for low-income households to enhance income
generation
and break the cycle of poverty. It was inspired by traditional practices and adapted to modern microcredit
methodologies.
In 1979, as a National Instructor and Dhaka Divisional Coordinator, I introduced the Dheki-type loan to five groups in Katabaria village, Kishoregonj, Mymensingh, marking its first implementation in Bangladesh.
In 1976-77, As a Manager, Package Inputs Program (PIP) Dhaka Division, Agriculture Ministry Managed the Package Inputs Program (PIP) under the Grow More Food Scheme, a special initiative by the Agriculture Ministry's Extension Division.
